Best Sandals Resorts for Honeymoons in 2026

Every resort, honestly compared, so you pick the right one the first time.

Every Sandals resort is all inclusive, adults only, and designed with couples in mind. But they are not all the same. The vibe at one resort can feel completely different from another, and picking the wrong one can mean spending your honeymoon wishing you were somewhere else. That is not the plan.

I have visited these resorts, talked to hundreds of couples about what they loved and what they wish they had known, and helped newlyweds book the right fit since this became my full time career. Here is what I tell every couple who asks me where they should go.

St. Lucia

St. Lucia is the island most couples picture when they imagine a Caribbean honeymoon. The Piton mountains, the lush green hills, and the calm turquoise water make it one of the most naturally romantic settings in the world. Sandals has three resorts here, and each one offers a different experience.

Sandals Grande St. Lucian

Gros Islet, St. Lucia

Best for: Overwater bungalows and dramatic scenery

If you have seen photos of overwater bungalows at Sandals, chances are they were taken here. The resort sits on a peninsula with the Caribbean on one side and Rodney Bay on the other. The water is calm, the views are extraordinary, and the Piton mountains in the distance make everything feel more romantic than you planned.

Couples who want that "pinch me" moment every time they walk outside will love it here. The overwater suites come with glass floors, private plunge pools, and butler service. Even the standard beachfront rooms deliver.

This is the resort I recommend when couples tell me they want something that looks and feels like the photos they have been saving on Pinterest for the last year.

Sandals Halcyon Beach

Castries, St. Lucia

Best for: Intimate, smaller resort with a garden feel

Halcyon Beach is the smallest of the three St. Lucia properties and it has a completely different personality. It is low key, walkable, and feels more like a boutique resort than a sprawling complex. The beach is lovely, the gardens are well kept, and the pace is slower than what you will find at the larger Sandals resorts on the island.

All three St. Lucia Sandals resorts participate in a "Stay at One, Play at Three" exchange program with complimentary shuttle service between them, so you can visit La Toc or Grande St. Lucian for a change of scenery and more dining options. Couples who do not need a massive pool scene will appreciate the simplicity here. It is quieter, more personal, and the price point makes St. Lucia accessible for couples who might otherwise stretch past their budget.

Sandals Regency La Toc

Castries, St. Lucia

Best for: Golf, grounds, and a classic resort feel

La Toc sits on a hillside with sweeping views and one of the most beautiful golf courses in the Caribbean. The property has an old world elegance to it, with large grounds, mature landscaping, and a range of room categories from hillside suites to beachfront villas.

This is the St. Lucia resort for couples who want space. There is room to wander, the beach is tucked into a sheltered cove, and the atmosphere is more relaxed than Grande St. Lucian. If one of you golfs, this is an easy choice. All three St. Lucia resorts participate in Sandals' exchange program, so you can take the complimentary shuttle to Halcyon Beach or Grande St. Lucian anytime you want a different dining scene or beach for the afternoon.

Jamaica

Jamaica has more Sandals resorts than any other island, and the variety is significant. From the south coast's quiet beaches to Ocho Rios's waterfalls and Negril's famous seven mile stretch, the island offers genuinely different honeymoon experiences depending on where you stay.

Sandals South Coast

Whitehouse, Jamaica

Best for: Variety, great food, and overwater bungalows in Jamaica

South Coast is on a stretch of Jamaica that most tourists never see. The resort is large enough to have serious variety in dining, pools, and room categories, but it does not feel overwhelming. It has a lively atmosphere without being over the top.

The overwater bungalows here are stunning and slightly more accessible in price than St. Lucia's. The food program at South Coast is one of the best in the Sandals lineup, and the long, curved beach gives you plenty of room to spread out.

This is a great pick for couples who want a bit of everything. Fun evenings, gorgeous rooms, strong dining, and that classic Caribbean feel. If you cannot decide what kind of honeymoon you want, South Coast covers all the bases.

Sandals Dunn's River

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Best for: Adventurous couples who want more than a beach

This is the newest Sandals in Jamaica and it was built with energy. Dunn's River sits near Ocho Rios, which gives you easy access to waterfalls, rainforest tours, and some of the best excursions in the Caribbean.

The resort itself is polished, with excellent dining and a river pool that runs through the property. Couples who spend their honeymoon wanting to do things, not just sit, will feel right at home here. You can climb Dunn's River Falls in the morning and be back at the swim up bar by lunch.

I recommend this one to couples who want Jamaica's culture and adventure baked into their honeymoon without sacrificing luxury.

Sandals Royal Plantation

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Best for: Boutique luxury and the most personal service

Royal Plantation is the smallest and most exclusive property in the entire Sandals collection. With fewer than 80 suites, it feels more like a private estate than a resort. Every room faces the ocean, every guest receives butler service, and the staff knows your name by dinner on the first night.

There are no massive pool complexes or rowdy bars here. The pace is unhurried, the cliffs above the beach give the setting a dramatic elegance, and the experience feels genuinely elevated. Royal Plantation guests also enjoy exchange privileges with other Sandals resorts in Jamaica, including Dunn's River in the Ocho Rios area, with complimentary transfers. So when you want more activity or dining variety, it is there for you without giving up the quiet of your home base.

This is for couples who want to feel taken care of, not just entertained.

Sandals Negril

Negril, Jamaica

Best for: The best beach in Jamaica and a relaxed vibe

Negril sits on Jamaica's famous Seven Mile Beach, and it delivers exactly what that sounds like. Long, soft sand, calm water, and sunsets that stop you mid conversation. The resort is mid sized, the atmosphere is easygoing, and the beach is the main event.

This is a great honeymoon resort for couples who want Jamaica without the adventure focus of Ocho Rios. The pace here is slower, the beach is outstanding, and the room categories include some beautiful beachfront options. Negril also tends to be a bit more affordable than the bigger Jamaican properties, which makes it attractive for couples watching their budget without sacrificing quality.

Sandals Montego Bay

Montego Bay, Jamaica

Best for: Easy access and a classic Sandals experience

Montego Bay is the original. It was the first Sandals resort ever built, and it sits right on the water just minutes from the airport. That convenience matters more than people realize when you have been traveling all day and just want to be at your resort.

The property has been updated and expanded over the years, and the overwater bar is a standout feature. Montego Bay also has exchange privileges with Sandals Royal Caribbean nearby, which gives you access to that resort's private offshore island and additional restaurants. It is a well rounded resort with solid dining, good beaches, and a social atmosphere. For couples flying into Montego Bay, this is the easiest start to a honeymoon you can get.

Grenada

Sandals Grenada

Pink Gin Beach, Grenada

Best for: Quiet couples who want privacy and a stunning beach

Grenada is the resort people do not think of first, and that is exactly why it works so well for honeymoons. It is smaller, quieter, and tucked along one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. Pink Gin Beach is soft, wide, and never crowded.

This is where I send couples who say things like "we just want to disappear for a week." There is no party scene here. The pace is slow, the restaurant quality is outstanding, and the Italian Village suites feel like you rented your own private Mediterranean villa.

If you want to read a book on the beach without a DJ in the background, this is your place.

Curaçao

Sandals Royal Curaçao

Newport, Curaçao

Best for: Something different, with European flair and incredible snorkeling

Royal Curaçao is the newest resort in the Sandals portfolio and it feels like it. The architecture has a Dutch Caribbean influence, the design is modern, and the setting is unlike anything else in the Sandals world. Curaçao sits outside the hurricane belt, which is a real advantage for couples booking during late summer or fall.

The snorkeling here is exceptional, the island has a vibrant culture with colorful Willemstad just a short drive away, and the resort offers a two level infinity pool that overlooks the sea. Couples who have been to the Caribbean before and want something they have not experienced yet will find it here.

This is also a strong pick for couples who want a honeymoon that feels more European than tropical without leaving the Caribbean.

Antigua

Sandals Grande Antigua

Dickenson Bay, Antigua

Best for: The best beach in the Sandals collection

Antigua has 365 beaches, and Dickenson Bay is one of the finest. Sandals Grande Antigua sits right on it, and the beach is the undisputed star of this resort. The sand is powder soft, the water is that impossible shade of blue you see in ads, and the resort wraps around it beautifully.

The Mediterranean Village side of the resort is where most honeymoon couples gravitate. It is quieter, more refined, and the rooms have a warm, European feel. The Caribbean Village side is more social and colorful. You get access to both, which means you can choose your mood on any given day.

If the beach is the single most important thing to you, Antigua will not disappoint.

Saint Vincent

Sandals Saint Vincent

Buccament Bay, Saint Vincent

Best for: Nature lovers and couples who want something undiscovered

Saint Vincent is one of the newest additions to the Sandals portfolio, and it feels like a resort built for people who want the Caribbean before everyone else finds it. The island is lush, volcanic, and largely untouched by mass tourism. Buccament Bay is surrounded by rainforest covered mountains, and the resort takes full advantage of that setting.

This is a strong pick for couples who are drawn to nature, hiking, and exploring rather than sitting poolside all week. The Grenadines are nearby for day trips, the black sand beaches have a dramatic beauty, and the overall feel is more adventurous and raw than the more polished Sandals resorts.

If you and your partner would rather kayak through a bay than lounge at a swim up bar, Saint Vincent will feel like it was designed for you.

The Bahamas

Sandals has one property in the Bahamas, and it is worth being direct about the fit. Nassau is a fun destination with easy flights from the East Coast, but the resort here leans more toward a social, party friendly atmosphere than a quiet romantic getaway.

Sandals Royal Bahamian

Nassau, Bahamas

Best for: A quick getaway with a social, energetic vibe

Royal Bahamian sits on Cable Beach in Nassau with a private offshore island you can reach by boat. The location is convenient, especially for East Coast couples who want a short flight. The resort has solid dining, a nice spa, and the offshore island adds a fun element you will not find at other Sandals properties.

For honeymoons specifically, this resort works best as a long weekend or a short trip rather than a full week. The vibe is more party than peaceful, and Nassau itself has a livelier, more commercial feel than the other islands on this list. Couples who want nightlife and easy access will enjoy it. Couples looking for seclusion and romance will find a better match elsewhere.

Barbados

Sandals has two properties in Barbados, and they sit right next to each other with full exchange privileges between them. Barbados is a beautiful island with excellent dining, culture, and nightlife. It is worth being straightforward here: both Barbados resorts lean more social and lively than romantic and secluded. They are fun, well run properties, but couples looking for a quiet, intimate honeymoon may find a better match elsewhere on this list.

Sandals Barbados

Maxwell, Christ Church, Barbados

Best for: Social couples who love a lively scene

Sandals Barbados is modern, energetic, and built for couples who want to be around other people. The rooftop pool and bar are highlights, the dining is excellent (Barbados is known for its food culture), and the beach is right there. This is a resort that comes alive in the evenings.

For honeymoons, it works best for couples who define romance as fun together rather than solitude. If you want to dance, eat well, and stay up late, Barbados delivers that experience. Just know the vibe leans party over peaceful.

Sandals Royal Barbados

Maxwell, Christ Church, Barbados

Best for: A more polished Barbados experience with rooftop dining

Royal Barbados is the newer, more upscale of the two and it has a more refined atmosphere. The rooftop restaurant and pool offer stunning sunset views, the rooms are well appointed, and the overall feel is a step above its neighbor. It still carries that social Barbados energy, but it is more contained.

Couples who want the Barbados experience with a bit more polish and privacy will prefer Royal Barbados over the standard property. You still get access to everything at Sandals Barbados next door, so you are not giving anything up by choosing this one.

How to Choose

With this many options, the decision often comes down to two or three questions. Do you want a quiet, intimate honeymoon or a social, active one? Is the beach the most important thing, or are you more focused on the room and the service? And are you drawn to a specific island, or are you open to wherever the best fit takes you?

Those three questions narrow the field fast, and they are exactly where I start with every couple I work with.
