How Much Does a Sandals Honeymoon Cost?
Here to give you some realistic numbers so you can plan with confidence, not guesswork.
This is the question every couple asks first, and it is a smart one. Before you start picking resorts and comparing room categories, you need a real number in your head. Not a marketing number. Not a "starting from" number that does not exist in reality. An actual budget range you can plan around.

Sandals is all inclusive, which means your resort stay covers meals, drinks, water sports, entertainment, and tips. That is a real advantage when budgeting because you are not going to come home to a surprise bill. But "all inclusive" does not mean "all the same price." What you spend depends on where you go, when you go, and how you want your room to feel.

What most couples actually spend
For a seven night Sandals honeymoon, most couples land somewhere between $7,000 and $12,000 for the resort portion alone. That range covers the majority of room categories across the most popular honeymoon resorts. It does not include airfare, which I will get to below.

If that range feels wide, it is because the difference between a garden view room and a beachfront suite is significant. You are paying for location, privacy, and extras like butler service or private plunge pools. Both ends of that range give you a truely excellent all inclusive experience. The question is really about how much of the luxury you want to layer on.

Cost by Room Category
Standard 'luxury' rooms
$5,500 to $7,500 for 7 nights
These are solid rooms with full access to everything the resort offers. You get the same restaurants, the same beaches, and the same drinks as everyone else. Many of these rooms are spacious and well appointed. The difference is that they may not have a direct ocean view or private pool.
For couples who plan to spend most of their time outside their room, this tier is a smart call.

Club Level Rooms
$7,500 to $10,000 for 7 nights
This is where most honeymoon couples land. Club level suites often include room service, premium liquor, and a dedicated concierge team to help with your pressing needs or getting reservations taken care of at restaurants. Beachfront rooms put you steps from the water, and many come with soaking tubs, walk in showers, and private patios.
If you want your room to feel like a genuine upgrade and not just a place to sleep, this is the sweet spot.
Butler suites and Over The Water Bungalows
$12,000 to $18,000+ for 7 nights
Sandals Butler suites and Overwater bungalows are the top of the line at Sandals. This is what you've been dreaming of- a butler team at your beckon call, brining you treats right to you at the pool or beachside. Service beyond imaginable. You will find over the water bungalows exclusively at Sandals Grande St. Lucian, Sandals South Coast, and Sandals Royal Caribbean. They come with glass floor panels, private plunge pools, overwater hammocks, and full butler service. Waking up over the Caribbean is an experience that is hard to replicate anywhere else at this price point.
The overwater bungalows book far in advance, especially for peak honeymoon months. If this is on your list, planning early makes a real difference.

How Price Varies by Island

Not every island costs the same, and it is worth understanding why before you compare quotes.

Jamaica
Jamaica tends to be the most affordable entry point. Sandals Negril and Sandals Royal Caribbean often have the lowest starting rates in the portfolio. South Coast and Dunn's River are mid range. Royal Plantation is a premium boutique experience, but it is still Jamaica pricing, which keeps it more accessible than comparable luxury on other islands.

St. Lucia
St. Lucia resorts run higher than Jamaica, especially at Grande St. Lucian where the overwater bungalows and Piton views command a premium. Halcyon Beach (love!) and Regency La Toc are more moderate and offer a way to experience St. Lucia without the top tier price tag. Most couples spending on a St. Lucia honeymoon land in the $8,000 to $14,000 range for the resort portion.

Grenada
Grenada falls in the mid range. It is not the cheapest option, but it is not the most expensive either. The value here is in the experience! You are getting one of the best beaches in the Caribbean, exceptional dining, and real privacy at a price that feels fair for what you receive.

Antigua
Grande Antigua is a mid to upper tier resort in terms of pricing. The beach alone justifies it for many couples. Expect pricing similar to St. Lucia's mid range properties.

Curaçao
Royal Curaçao is one of the newer resorts and it is priced in the upper mid range. Flights to Curaçao can be slightly higher from some departure cities since it is further south, so factor that into the total. The upside is that it sits outside the hurricane belt, which gives you more flexibility on travel dates without weather anxiety.

Barbados
The two Barbados resorts are mid range to upper mid range. Royal Barbados is the pricier of the two. Barbados as a destination adds value through the island's food scene, culture, and nightlife, but the resorts themselves lean social rather than secluded.

Saint Vincent
Sandals Saint Vincent is one of the newer properties and sits in the mid to upper range. The island is less developed for tourism than Jamaica or St. Lucia, which keeps it feeling exclusive. Flights to Saint Vincent may require a connection depending on your departure city, so factor that into the total budget. The payoff is an island experience that most Caribbean travelers have never had.

The Bahamas
Royal Bahamian in Nassau is competitively priced and benefits from very short, affordable flights from the East Coast. It is one of the more accessible Sandals resorts in terms of total trip cost. The trade off is that the resort leans more social and party oriented than romantic, which makes it better suited for a long weekend than a full honeymoon week for most couples.

How the Time of Year Affects Price

Sandals pricing shifts with the season. Peak season runs from mid December through April, and that is when prices are highest across every resort. The weather is at its best, the demand is at its highest, and availability gets tight.

Shoulder seasons, typically May through early June and again in November, offer noticeably lower rates. You can often save 20 to 30 percent on the same room category by shifting your dates even a few weeks. The weather during shoulder season is still warm and beautiful. You may see a brief rain shower in the afternoon, but it passes quickly and it rarely affects the day.

Summer months, July through October, are the lowest price point. Hurricane season is a factor here, and some couples prefer to avoid it. Travel insurance becomes especially important during this window, and I always recommend it regardless of when you travel. Curaçao is a notable exception since it sits below the hurricane belt, making it a smart summer choice.

What About Airfare?

Airfare is separate from your Sandals stay, and it varies based on where you are flying from and which island you choose. For most couples flying from the East Coast, expect to spend between $500 and $800 per person for economy to Jamaica or St. Lucia. Caribbean flights from the Midwest or West Coast tend to run higher.

Grenada and Curaçao are smaller airports with fewer direct routes, so flights there may cost a bit more or require a connection. Antigua typically has decent direct service from major East Coast hubs. It is worth factoring flight costs into your total when comparing resorts on different islands.

Business class is an option if you want to start the honeymoon from the moment you sit down. I book business class for an additional fee, and for a trip like this, some couples feel it sets the right tone.

A realistic all in budget for a seven night Sandals honeymoon:
Mid range room with airfare and transfers: $8,000 to $12,000 total for two.
Club level or beachfront suite with airfare: $10,000 to $14,000 total for two.
Overwater bungalow with airfare: $18,000 to $24,000+ total for two.

These ranges reflect what I see most couples spend when everything is accounted for. Your numbers will shift based on your departure city, travel dates, island, and room selection.

One More Thing Worth Knowing

Sandals runs promotions throughout the year, and some of them are genuinely valuable. But the best deals often depend on timing and room category, and they change frequently. Working with someone who tracks those promotions and knows how to stack them with the right booking window can save you real money. That is part of what I do, and it is one of the reasons couples reach out before they book on their own.
